Few footballers will have had a more frustrating 2019 than Bafana Bafana star, Keagan Dolly, but things are looking up for the attacker as 2020 gets underway…
The 27-year-old had a rough time last year as a series of impact injuries kept him out for several months at his French club, Montpellier, and despite his best efforts he was unable to get himself back in time to form part of Stuart Baxter's South African side for the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
Another comeback was halted while on national team duty towards the end of the year when he was clattered in the Nelson Mandela Challenge during their 2-1 win over Mali at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Now though, the former Mamelodi Sundowns man will be hoping that a new year brings new possibilities, and the Siya crew has been informed that he returned to full training today, and could be fully match-fit before the end of February.
With Montpellier pushing for a place in either the UEFA Champions League or Europa League next season, Dolly's next mission after working hard to get fit once again, will be to force his way back into Michel Der Zakarian's plans before the 2019/20 season comes to a close.
