As first reported by the Intelligence Bureau of South Africa, the keeper had the Grey VW Taigo that he was driving hijacked, but the time of the incident wasn't revealed.
Buthelezi was on the substitutes' bench during last weekend's 6-0 victory for the Buccaneers in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 match against Crystal Lake FC.
During his time with TS Galaxy, Buthelezi had also been a victim of hijacking in 2022 where he and his brother were stabbed in Soweto.
