The former Kaizer Chiefs mentor will lead his Matsatsantsa a Pitori charges as they travel to the Dobsonville Stadium to take on the National First Division bottom dwellers in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32 stage.
Baxter looked at other examples of teams that have had to deal with similar financial struggles that his opponents are currently going through.
"You remember what happened to Portsmouth when they were having financial problems? They won a trophy and got relegated. "Remember Maluti FC?", he told the Siya crew.
The Scotsman also reminisced about his struggles with smaller teams in cup competitions during his tenure at Naturena, saying that teams like Swallows have been difficult to play in knockout competitions.
"I also had problems with small teams during my time at Chiefs.
"So I know how dangerous it would be playing Swallows in a cup game and for us we want to go past the first round and see how far we can go in our quest to win this trophy, " Baxter observed.
