Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Pitso Mosimane, has praised this weekend's Nedbank Cup opponents, Highlands Park for their organisation and their effort in the match which the Brazilians had to work hard to win.
Sundowns beat their NFD opponents 1-0, courtesy of Keagan Dolly's winner which came five minutes into extra time, in a nervy affair for the Chloorkop-based side.
Mosimane says that Allan Freese's team made life difficult for the defending Nedbank Cup champions, but that his team always believed they would win.
"We played a well organised team," he told the Siya crew.
"They made it difficult for us but we knew that we can do it. We had to dig deep and make sure we win the game."
Mosimane acknowledged that the performance was not eye-catching, but that, at the end of the day, the result is what is important.
"There are games which we will win like this but the important thing is to win the game like we did here," Mosimane observed.
Sundowns now progress to the next round of the Nedbank Cup and will find out their next opponents on Thursday, when the last 16 draw takes place at Carlton Centre in Johannesburg.
