Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Junior Khanye, believes that the Amakhosi need players similar to those of the club's perennial rivals, Orlando Pirates.

Khanye has been impressed with the likes of Thabo Rakhale, Thabo Qalinge and Mpho Makola from the Bucs camp.
Speaking to the Siya crew after the weekend's 2-0 loss for Chiefs against Pirates in the Nedbank Cup, Khanye believes that his former team underperformed on Saturday afternoon.
"I will speak to you honestly as a former Chiefs player. Chiefs need to be honest with themselves and be realistic, they didn't come to the party in their game on the weekend. They know that. Yes, we can blame the defence and all that, but at the end of the day the attackers (midfielders and strikers) need to score also. Had they scored at least one goal, we would then say that the defence let the team down.
"We (Chiefs) lack creativity. They played with two midfield anchors. You cannot play (Willard) Katsande and Lucky (Baloyi) at the same time. The creativity was a little bit low. Chiefs need to get players that are similar to Pirates players. I'm talking about players like (Thabo) Rakhale, (Thabo) Qalinge and (Mpho) Makola.
"Chiefs' players need to understand the culture of the club. As a Chiefs player you have to make the management and supporters happy about having you in the team, even if the team has lost a game. The way I see it, the defence and attacking players play the same way. There is no difference.

"There should be players that make things happen. I'm talking about players like Jabu Mahlangu, Scara Ngobese and Thabo Mooki during our time. When we played for Chiefs we were expected to perform miracles. We were told that we couldn't have 11 Tinashes (Nengomasha) on the field. We had to come with something different," said Khanye.
