Bidvest Wits coach, Gavin Hunt, says that Moeneeb Josephs is unlikely to feature in Friday night's MTN8 clash with Bloemfontein Celtic.
According to Hunt, Josephs is carrying a leg injury that, while it isn't serious, is expected to mean that he won't be able to play for The Clever Boys as they look to overcome the first MTN8 hurdle.
Speaking to the media, Hunt said, "I don't think he'll be fit, it's a bit of a blow but what can you do?"
Meanwhile, Hunt also said that he doubts new Dutch signing, Kees Kwakman, will get his debut this weekend due to registration restraints, though there will be eight changes from the side that took on Orlando Pirates in last season's Nedbank Cup final.
Hunt said, "We've signed lots of good players and hopefully we can get them into our way of thinking and move forward.
"Celtic are a tough side, they beat us recently and are well organised and well coached. It won't be easy, and we're still trying to find our way a little bit. There are a lot of changes in our team, probably eight from the team that played in the Nedbank Cup final.
"I know my starting XI, we'll do some work this week with them. I don't know if we'll get Kees' registration in time, but I don't think we'll get it by Friday."
Bidvest Wits play Celtic at Bidvest Stadium at 20h00 on Friday evening.
