Legendary former South African striker Mabhuti Khenyeza has been appointed as head coach of a club.
Following his sudden departure from AmaZulu, where he has been serving as an assistant to Slovakian coach Jozef Vukusic, Khenyeza left KwaZulu-Natal for Mpumalanga to link up with former Nedbank Cup champions TS Galaxy.

The GladAfrica Championship outfit unveiled Khenyeza on Tuesday morning, confirming that he is the club's new head coach, filling in the role recently vacated by Dan Malesela.

During his illustrious career as a professional footballer, Khenyeza scored 110 goals in the Mzansi's top flight, making him the second all-time top goalscorer behind another former AmaZulu and Bafana Bafana man, Siyabonga Nomvethe, who netted 123.

Khenyeza's coaching career started in January last year as an assistant at Maritzburg United under Muhsin Ertugral, having last played for AmaZulu at the age of 36.
"Pressure is a medicine to me, I love pressure, I can work under pressure, I'm here to plant a seed, make better players and leave a legacy," he said in accepting his role at TS Galaxy.
