Second tier league leaders Ajax Cape Town have provided an update on the future of their coach Calvin Marlin.
Marlin, who had been serving as an assistant to Andries Ulderink at the Mother City outfit, took charge of the side as caretaker coach after the Dutch mentor resigned from his position at the end of January.
In their update, the Urban Warriors have confirmed that Marlin will continue as the club's interim coach until the end of the 2019/20 season.
"Ajax Cape Town will retain Calvin Marlin as interim head coach of the club until the end of the 2019-20 GladAfrica Championship season," confirmed Ajax on the club's official website.
The former Ajax, SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper has Dylan Deane as his assistant, as confirmed by the Ikamva-based outft.
"I'm just focused on the training to be honest, I'm glad the management hasn't pressed the panic button to sign a coach at this point of the season. We as the technical staff know what it will mean if we win the league because we are the ones that experienced the bizarre relegation and it means so much more to us. The management have shown trust in us and we are here to win. Ajax is a huge part of me and I will do what I can to show that to the fans," said Marlin, as quoted on Ajax's website.
