Chippa, meanwhile, are still searching for their first win of the campaign as they followed up their draw against SuperSport United with a 3-1 loss to Royal AM on Wednesday evening.
Daine Klate's troops dropped down to third-from-bottom on the table, one of only three sides with only one point on the log so far.
Pirates will be looking re-establish their dominance over Chippa after the Chilli Boys denied them maximum points for the first time since 2016 with a goalless draw in the second round encounter in the league last term.
