Insiders have disclosed to the Siya crew that the 26-year-old is believed to have also landed on the radar of AmaZulu FC and Sekhukhune United, with Egyptian side Pyramids FC, understood to have expressed an interest in the attacker.
"I think it is the way he plays. He is different from most wingers that we know. You know he creates chances but also scores goals. It's true there are local teams which want him but the big one is the team we just played against in Egypt. After the game some officials enquired about him and they wanted to know if he would be interested to move there," a source revealed to the Siya crew.
"But I think for now it is still too early to talk about that. Maybe the local DStv Premiership teams stand a better chance to get him if the team wants to let him go. I also think it is the right time for the team to cash in, because his contract is ending in June next year. So if they delay they may lose him for free. But if they sell him now they will get money in return," the source added.
Contacted for comment Gallants media officer Rufus Matsena could neither deny nor confirm the interest.
"As a team there is nothing official that we got at the moment. So there is nothing much I can say," Matsena said.
Nku joined Gallants at the start of the current season from Polokwane City and signed a two-year deal.
He has been one of the club's outstanding players for the side.
Gallants take on Pyramids in the second leg quarterfinal CCC this weekend, after playing to a draw in the first leg.
