An important update has come through on two South African club officials who are stuck in Libya, following a continental match several days ago.
As first reported by FarPost, Marumo Gallants team manager Rufus Matsena and fellow staff member Dina Dhlomo have been stuck in Benghazi due to money related issues between the Limpopo outfit and the hotel that accomodated the team.

Gallants had been in Libya for the club's CAF Confederation Cup match, which they lost 4-1 against Al Akhdar on March 19.
As reported by the publication, the owner of the Libyan hotel, Dr Ali Elzargha, said there had been an agreement for him to assist the club to accommodate the team and in other logistics such as booking the flight tickets, among other things.
It has been alleged that the cost to the hotel owner in assisting Gallants amounted to over R600 000 and the two club officials were sacrificed, as some form of assurance that the money would be paid at a later stage after the hotel boss threatened to cancel all return tickets for the players and staff of the club.

The Siya crew reached out to Matsena who confirmed that all was well for both of them, despite the unusual occurrence.
"We are fine my brother. So far there's no need to panic. Thanks for your concern. Thanks again for the support. We really appreciate," said the team manager.
