It's been three months since Marumo Gallants brought in Dylan Kerr to rescue the sinking ship, but he continues to sit in the stands with the club seemingly in no rush to secure a work permit for him.
In a statement sent out by Gallants back in January, Kerr was appointed as a consultant to the 'interim technical team' and has played an important role behind the scenes to keep their survival hopes alive, while inspiring them to dream in the CAF Confederation Cup by leading them to quarterfinals, where they will face Egyptian side.

While the statement sent out by the club suggested that he is a consultant to the interim technical team, the Siya crew understands that Kerr is in fact the head coach but there has been a problem when it comes to his work permit.
Insiders have revealed to the Siya crew that Kerr has been working without a contract since he arrived at Gallants and the club is understood to have not applied for a work permit for him, which is why he has not received one. Chances are that he will go without one for the rest of the season.
Kerr has been travelling with the team in the Confederation Cup as well, sitting in the stands whenever the club is playing away from home. It's understood that Kerr will not stay with Gallants beyond the end of this season, even if the club survives relegation.
Club chairman Abram Sello could not be reached for a comment on the matter.
