Marumo Gallants FC coach Dan Malesela felt some the decision-making from his players could have been better against Orlando Pirates.
Gallants extended their winless run to eight matches in the DStv Premiership after going down 2-0 to the Buccaneers.
The Nedbank Cup-winning coach feels the goal before the halftime break was demoralizing.
"We knew it was going to be difficult, but we were prepared to fight and which we did. Unfortunately, once you start conceding and you concede goals where it doesn't look like there'll be a goal it sort of demoralizes a bit so and the basics of marking could've been practiced," Malesela told SuperSport after.
"You know, stay goal-side wait don't commit because sometimes our minds run...You know players minds their minds run faster than the actual job so you've already won the ball that you haven't got.
"So, that I don't know what happened to the second goal. I'm not sure how the penalty came about. I have to look and see but look Pirates played well as well. You can't deny that and we tried with our own.
"I think somewhere with the decision making we could've done things better particularly when we were in the box.
"Sometimes just to pass somebody there or sometimes take a shot and then we want to pass. So those things are just organisation of matches.
"The challenge with me is that, You see if the team is not playing bad and you lose matches that's the challenge because it's a challenge for a coach at that time to say what then do you do now, you know. But like I said, we have to see and work on."
