Maritzburg United have officially confirmed the signing of former Orlando Pirates defender Wayde Jooste, following a brief assessment period with the Team of Choice.

Coach Fadlu Davids has been actively working on his squad ahead of the resumption of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership.
As such, the coach has looked to bring in experienced campaigners that will help the KwaZulu-Natal outfit move off the foot of the table.
On Thursday morning, Maritzburg officially announced the capture of Jooste, who was previously on the books of Pirates. The 31-year-old had also spent time training with Gavin Hunt at SuperSport United before reuniting with his former coach in KZN.
