Mokwena and his players finally got their hands on the league title in front of their fans at Loftus Versfeld.
"Congratulations to the players, this is the most important trophy in the country, it's the championship, it's a tournament that goes for ten months," Mokwena said on SuperSport TV.
"It goes home and away, against every opponent and you got to be at your best consistently to win it. You can fluke one or two wins, three maybe, four and then a cup is delivered.
"But you need to be extremely consistent to win the championship. 30 games, 15 opponents, home and away and this magnificent football club is doing it over and over again. Six times, congratulations, very proud of everyone associated with the club. Congratulations to the players, very proud of this magnificent group," he said.
The 36-year old coach was asked how he manages to keep every player happy in such a big squad with quality.

"That's the most difficult part but they make it easy because they are good football players and then they make it easier because they are good human beings, so we're just privileged as the technical team to work with this group of players," he said.
"I'm privileged to be in a position to be their coach and as demanding as the job is, it's games like these that makes it extremely rewarding. So proud to be league champions, so proud for the players, supporters, management, the Motsepe family, the chairman, the board, the president, everybody associated with this club, magnificent, super work."
When asked if there will be celebrations on Tuesday, he added, "We have to celebrate the championship, as I said, this is the biggest trophy and some take it for granted but this is the biggest trophy in South Africa, it is the biggest," he said.
"And congratulations, I'm extremely proud of this football club."
