Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena praised the player's mentality for grinding out a win away to AmaZulu.
Lucas Costa Ribeiro's first-half penalty was enough to seal a tenth successive victory for the defending champions.
Mokwena feels the players' mentality was key to getting over the line against a good Usuthu side.

"Congratulations to the entire Mamelodi Sundowns family, congratulations to the supporters, amazing turnout for a midweek game," Mokwena told SuperSport after the game.
"Congratulations to this group of players because they work very hard and we just got over the line because of our mentality. Congratulations to the technical team and everybody involved.
"I thought we were in control you know, we struggled a little bit in certain moments but it's normal with the number of games.
"And then you've got stay in games because you've got to win games with your mentality and we have a very good mentality, a good group of players that keep going.
"We know AmaZulu don't die, it's a team that gives a lot and invests so much on the pitch, so we had to also respond and suffer in certain moments.
"We were good in some moments, some of the passes, some of the build-ups and it's also not easy because the opposition is also well coached but congratulations to this fantastic group of players, fantastic mentality.
"More than anything the mentality, to grind things out sometimes it's really the sign what really makes champions and fantastic today."
