Mamelodi Sundowns' U15 side made it all the way to the quarter-final of the Kevin de Bruyne Cup, where they managed to defeat Manchester City along the way.
This year is the first time that clubs from Africa and South America will be competing at the tournament, which was established in 2016 by De Bruyne.

The Brazilians started the campaign against defending champions FC Barcelona on Saturday afternoon, but they suffered 4-0 defeat to the Spaniards.
Coach Simon Blangwe's charges managed to redeem themselves in the second game and claimed the scalp of Manchester City with a 2-0 victory.

The win over the English saw Sundowns advance to the final eight of the competition, but they came up against Brazilian side Palmeiras, who had defeated Bayern Munich and Odense in their group encounters.
It would prove to be a difficult clash for Sundowns later that day as they ended losing 7-1 to the Brazilians, ending their campaign in the process.
Sundowns did, however, compete a play-off clash on Sunday morning to determine their placing, but they lost 2-1 to Odense and finished the tournament in eighth place.
