Kaizer Chiefs marketing director Jessica Motaung has shed some light on the appointment of new coach Nasreddine Nabi, as she expressed the importance of building sustainable success under the new man in the hot seat.
Nabi has joined Amakhosi on their tour of Turkey for pre-season preparations and will officially be unveiled by the club when the Soweto giants return to South Africa. Chiefs are set to play in a pre-season Toyota Cup fixture against Tanzanian giants Young Africans on July 28.

Motaung did not want to get into details regarding the length of Nabi's contract, but she explained the decision to secure the services of the Tunisian mentor.
"I believe that we've done all the work to make sure that we have the right team, the right coach and to make sure that we take Chiefs to the next level. We are looking forward to his work and the work of the team that he has assembled and also the young players and older players who are going to be part of the squad," Motaung told media during the launch of the Toyota Cup in Johannesburg on Monday.
"Why him? I think we looked at a number of things. We looked at the right coach who has coached on the continent and understands the Chiefs brand and understands where we want to go. A coach who's got hunger and passion for success and passion for the Chiefs brand. I must say 'well done to the sporting director (Kaizer Motaung Jnr)' and the entire footballing department, together with the football manager (Bobby Motaung) for the extensive work they did in scouring the world.
"It was just not a continental decision. We looked at a number of coaches and the presentations that we were made and the thorough analysis in finding the right team of people to work with us...I must congratulate the amount of work and I am excited that we will give them all the support as a board, as an organisation and also as the fans to make sure that Chiefs go to where it needs to be from a success point of view."

Motaung stressed the importance of building sustainable success at the club, meaning some patience will be required from supporters who are craving for silverware quickly.
"We as a Kaizer Chiefs family are working collectively to build the right foundation for sustained success. You can see the work that is being done from the beginning. It's not about hitting the ground running, it's about doing the work right and making sure we build continued success."
