Junior Khanye is suggesting a need for assistance for newly appointed Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasereddine Nabi ahead of the new season.
Chiefs' fans got their first glimpse of the Nabi era on Sunday as Amakhosi played Tanzanian giants Young Africans in the inaugural Toyota Cup in Bloemfontein.

Although the results were not favourable for the Soweto giants after losing 4-0, Khanye commended the Tunisian tactician for his decision on young players, although the ex-crowd favourite feels that the 58-year-old mentor may need to consider including a local coach in his technical team.
"Kaizer Chiefs is a big club, whether you like it or not, and no one can take that away from them. We saw how excited the supporters were for welcoming the team back from Turkey when they arrived last week to finalise preparations for yesterday's game. Jessica (Motaung, Chiefs' Marketing and Commercial Director) and her team are doing a very good job in terms of marketing the brand, and credit to them for what they have done. Credit to Chiefs' supporters for supporting the team through thick and thin, it cannot be easy to be following the club the way they have done despite the team not doing well for so many years," said Khanye, speaking exclusively to the Siya crew
"I recorded the game because I was playing in social games at the same time it was playing, and I managed to watch it afterwards. Credit to the coach for playing the young players, and I would like to highlight Samkelo Zwane for how he performed, and I was pleased to see him raising his hand the way he did. The boy is one of the best talents to have come out of the club's juniors in a long time. I believe that the boy would get even better if he were to be surrounded by top players," added Khanye.

"Talking about the game itself, Chiefs were let down by their own mistakes which led to those goals scored against them. Like I have said before, the Chiefs jersey is too big for some of the players and that's why they struggle to cope. From what I saw, I can safely say to you that, that's why Nabi needs assistance in the technical team in the form of a South African coach to add to the people he is working with. Somebody like Dan 'Dance' Malesela is available, and he can be a useful addition to the Chiefs technical team along with someone as experienced as Farouk Khan, or even somebody like Doctor Khumalo, or Thabo Mooki. Those are the people who can assist Nabi about the team's style of play and things like that. Chiefs are a big club and there are a lot of expectations for the team to do well, and it can't be acceptable for the team to reach 10 years without winning any major trophy," Khanye added.
