Arrows combined a commendable four-game unbeaten run, that included back-to-back wins but they were slowed down by a 2-1 loss against Mamelodi Sundowns last Saturday.
Abafana Bes'thende, as a result, dropped down to 12th on the table with eight points and will be eyeing a top eight spot.
Swallows, on the other hand also saw their two-game unbeaten run come to an end after a 2-1 defeat against Stellenbosch last Saturday.
The Birds are lying 11th on the table, also with eight points and will be targeting a return to the top half of the log.
There has not been a winner in the last four outings between the sides, with four consecutive draws, although only one clash was goalless in that run.
