New team glow for Lorch
Thembinkosi Lorch couldn't contain his excitement around his new teammates on Monday during his light-hearted initiation into the club.
Pirates sent shock waves around the SA football sphere by announcing the departure of Lorch on Friday, the PSL's deadline day for the January transfer window.
Sundowns revealed the Lorch signing on Saturday, with the Bafana Bafdana international releasing a statement on the same day, writing:
"I am looking forward to this next chapter of my career with Mamelodi Sundowns FC and I will do my best to support my new teammates and contribute towards the club's success. Thank you to the Chairman of Mamelodi Sundowns, the management team, Coach Rulani, and his successful technical team for having confidence in me joining this prestigious team," reads the last paragraph of Nyoso's statement.

Lorch seems as excited as ever for his new journey in Chloorkop. A video that's been heavily shared on Twitter/X sees the player doing his initiation song, while his Masandawana teammates chant "Lorch" in unison.
They were seemingly singing the 2019 Amapiano hit single dedicated to the ex-Buccaneer, done by DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small after Lorch's memorable 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Egypt.
