The story
Rulani Mokwena's tenure as head coach of Wydad Athletic Club has begun positively, even though he has yet to manage his debut match from the dugout.
Rulani, who parted ways with DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns two weeks ago, has been happily embraced by the Wydad ultras, a set of passionate Les Rouges fans that the 37-year-old has a strong bond with.
Wydad supporters have never shied away from showing their warmth towards Rulani and have been on cloud 9 since the 2024/25 DStv Premiership Coach of the Season joined the Moroccan giants last week.
Rulani was partnered by his new assistant, Sinethemba Badela, at a Wydad Athletic Club under-19 game, with the former showing plenty of love to the players after the match and connected with the Ultras before and after the encounter.
