With Cristiano Ronaldo being the first billionaire in the beautiful game, Messi will reportedly join the Juventus man in reaching $1 billion throughout his career during the 2020/21 season.
As a result of his great wealth, the Blaugrana great has been able to afford assets of great value over the years. For one, Messi is said to be the owner of a R100 million mansion situated in a posh neighbourhood called Bellamar in Barcelona.
According to The Sun, the house comes equipped with a mini-football pitch, gym, spar and movie theatre.
Messi is also believed to be the owner of a rare Pagani Zonda, which is worth more than R20 million.
And if he wants to get around in a quicker way, Messi can do so in a R22 million, personalised private jet.
