Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Cavin Johnson feels he is starting to see the Pule Mmodi that stood out at Golden Arrows.
Mmodi played 90 minutes as Amakhosi edged Moroka Swallows 1-0 at Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday, thanks to a goal from Christian Saile in the second half.

Since signing for Amakhosi from Arrows, Mmodi has made 15 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals in the process. He enjoyed freedom on the ball against the Dube Birds, often playing from the left side which would often allow him to either link up with Sifiso Hlanti or cut into play to create opportunities for the attacking players
Johnson, who has been in charge for four matches at Chiefs, was impressed with Mmodi's performance against the Dube Birds and is looking forward to seeing more from the 30-year-old.
"Mmodi is a wide player. He plays wide and he is starting to understand how we want him to play wide. Today he really put up his hand. I think he is the Mmodi we saw from Golden Arrows. He is the Mmodi that likes to play. He runs, he defends, he attacks…he will improve. I saw a Mmodi that was really complimenting the team because the team wanted to have him in the game. I like that," the former Platinum Stars and SuperSport United coach said.
Chiefs' next Premiership clash will be against Polokwane City up north of the country on December 9. The club has not won consecutive matches since Johnson was in charge and they will be determined to make it two from two when they visit Rise and Shine in what should be a tricky match against a stubborn side.

Mmodi will definitely be one of the players that Johnson will look at to unlock the City defence.
