Al Ahly head coach Marcel Koller says the fact that they have played less matches than their CAF Champions League opponents Orlando Pirates could serve as an advantage ahead of their highly-anticipated clash.
Heading into the match scheduled for 15:00pm at a sold out Orlando Stadium on Saturday, the Buccaneers have played significantly more games than their Egyptian counterparts.
In the 2024/25 season Al Ahly have played just eight games in all competitions, while Pirates have played more than double the amount of matches with 18 games in all competitions.

Despite this, Al Ahly's Swiss manager feels that his side are fresher going into the encounter.
"It's right. We haven't played a lot of games as Pirates, but it may be an advantage for us because we are fresh and maybe they are tired and we can also look at it like this," he told journalists.
"Al Ahly have never won here but. But now may be the right moment to win the game and we prepared our players to end this streak and to win and maybe when we meet each other tomorrow after the game, we will talk about it again.
