Kaizer Chiefs have a tough route to the group stages of the 2015 CAF Champions League and will need to knock out the champions to reach the stages.
The Amakhosi, who failed to reach the group stages this year, have been drawn against Botswana's Township Rollers in the preliminary stages of the 2015 edition and will need to beat two other team if they're to reach the group stage.
Victory against Rollers will see Chiefs make it into the first round of the tournament, where they will come up against either Raja Casablanca of Morocco or the DRC's Diables Noirs.
Should Stuart Baxter's men make it past that test then their final hurdle will see them take on one of three teams, either Real de Banjul (Gambia), Barrack Young Controllers (Liberia) or, most likely, ES Setif, the reigning champions from Algeria.
Baxter's side, who qualified as the Absa Premiership runners up, will have home advantage in the first leg of all three ties if they can make it into the second round of group stage qualifiers, meaning that they will need to finish the job on their oppositions' turf on all three occasions.
Chiefs' Potential Opponents:
Preliminary Round
Township Rollers (Bostwana)
First Round
Raja Casablanca (Morocco)
or
Diables Noirs (DRC)
Second Round
Real de Banjul (Gambia)
or
Barrack Young Controllers (Liberia)
or
ES Setif (Algeria)
The preliminary stages of the tournament will begin in the second week of February.
