Al Ahli Saudi head coach Pitso Mosimane has expressed surprise and reservations about Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos' recent comments in the media.
Broos made a startling comment recently after announcing the squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Liberia, that included young Mamelodi Sundowns forward Cassius Mailula, that the breakout star is not ready to play in Europe.
The Belgian is also on record saying he's not responsible for Bafana not qualifying for the World Cup, because he was still building the team.

Mosimane, a former Bafana Bafana coach himself, says he was surprised to hear Broos saying he's not responsible for taking the national team to the World Cup.
"Sometimes our coaches say what they want to say, anytime, any day," Mosimane told reporters at a Nedbank Cup event, where the former Sundowns coach was unveiled as one of the ambassadors.
"I listened to a clip, he (Broos) said he's responsible for Afcon but no body must blame him for the World Cup (shrugs shoulders), I mean when you're national team coach, it's Afcon and the World Cup hey.
"So maybe he was told he's not responsible for the results of the World Cup, how do you say that? I don't know why he said that," he said.
The veteran tactician, who has won three CAF Champions League titles, carried on and said that as a South African and a coach, he sometimes gets shocked by remarks from the Septuagenarian.
"But anyway I think coach Broos has done well by unveiling young players and all that, at the beginning of course, but it's a bit different now because the Themba Zwanes are back, the Percys are back, which is good," he went on.
"But sometimes coach Broos says whatever he wants to say, sometimes I'm taken aback as a South African citizen and also as a coach.
"But that's his personality and philosophy and how he looks at our country. I don't know, I don't wanna go much there. What is important is to focus on the results," he added.
