Hugo Broos is set for a crunch meeting with the SAFA top brass over his future upon his return to the country, the Siya crew has learnt.
Broos is a man that is not short of options after proving his mettle at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where he led Bafana Bafana to a third-place finish at the competition.
The Belgian hasn't always had it easy since taking over the reins from Molefi Ntseki in 2021, given his outspoken nature, amongst other factors.
Now, the Siya crew has learnt that the 71-year-old is ready to throw in the towel on South Africa and has made a list of demands if he is to stay on in his current role, which is set to run until 2026.
This publication understands that, amongst other things, Broos is unhappy with the support – or the lack thereof - that he receives from the Premier Soccer League.
The constant criticism he has received from the public, a faction of the legends and pundits as well as being away from his grandchildren, have been cited as some of his displeasures with his post, and these are all issues that will be dealt with in his meeting upon his return to Mzansi from Belgium, where he has spent the last few weeks.
Broos, the crew understands, has already informed his staff of his possible exit from the national team and has been linked with a return to Belgium, where he has been approached for the Sporting Director role at Club Brugge.
