With Mamelodi Sundowns facing off against Maritzburg United in the Telkom Knockout Final on the 14th of December, one player won't be able to face Pitso Mosimane's side.
After barely playing in the second half of last season, Jeremy Brockie left Sundowns to join Maritzburg United on a season-long loan. He was not given permission by his parent club to play against them in late September in the league and the same now applies to the Telkom Knockout Final later this month, according to Siya sources.
The Kiwi striker is yet to score since moving on loan, starting six matches and appearing in another two from the bench. After Judas Moseamedi's brace in the semi-final against Kaizer Chiefs, Brockie would probably not have started the showpiece at Moses Mabhida Stadium anyway, but would have been a dangerous option from the bench.
Brockie has struggled to regain his best form under Eric Tinkler, although the striker's struggles extend back several seasons now. In his last 38 league appearances and a cumulative 2045 minutes on the pitch for SuperSport United, Sundowns and Maritzburg, Brockie has scored just two goals.
