After Philippe Coutinho's permanent move to Aston Villa was announced on Thursday, the enormous pay cut he took to leave Barcelona has reportedly been revealed.
The Brazilian has joined the Villans on a permanent deal after initially signing for the Premier League side on loan in January.

According to the Daily Mirror, Coutinho has taken a huge 70% wage cut in order to seal the transfer, and will now earn £125 000 (R2.4 million) a week on a four-year contract in England.
The Selecao international was believed to be on a far more lucrative weekly wage of £480 000 (R9.3 million) in Spain after he became Barcelona's club-record signing in January 2018 following an impressive five years at Liverpool.

Speaking after his move was confirmed, the 29-year-old said he was already looking forward to the 2022/23 season.
"I am really happy and excited about the present and future. I've been made to feel very welcome since day one. I've enjoyed it so much," Coutinho said.
"I believe so much in the squad that we can achieve really good things next year and I am really excited for the next season already."
