The draw for the UEFA Champions League group stages took place in Monaco this evening, and it has matched Cristiano Ronaldo with his former side Manchester United, while FC Barcelona received one of the toughest groups.

All eyes will be on Real Madrid, who are aiming to become the first side in the modern-day era to lift the title four years in a row, despite losing their all-time record goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo recently.
Los Blancos have been drawn in Group B with AS Roma, CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Pilzen.
Runners-up Liverpool will face Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli and Crvena Zvezda in Group C
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo will return to his former club Manchester United, who have been drawn in Group H with Juventus, Valencia and Young Boys.

Group E: Bayern Munich, Benfica, Ajax, AEK Athens
Group F: Manchester City, Shakhtar, Olympique Lyon, TSG Hoffenheim

The first round of fixtures will be played on 18/19 September, while the group phase will end on 11/12 December, with the round of 16 draw taking place on 17 December.
