FC Barcelona 5-0 Young Boys

FC Barcelona bounced back from their opening defeat to thrash Young Boys 5-0 on Tuesday night.

The Catalan giants only needed eight minutes to get the opening goal, with Robert Lewandowski continuing his fine start to the season by netting his first in the tournament.

Hansi Flick's charges continued to dominate, as they added a second goal in the 34th minute through Raphinha's finish on 34 minutes before Inigo Martinez extended the lead four minutes later.

Lewandowski completed his brace six minutes after the halftime break to make it 4-0, before an own goal from Mohamed Camara rounded off an emphatic evening for the Spanish giants.

The Gunners also finally got a glimpse of new signing Mikel Merino, who replaced Thomas Partey for the final 25 minutes as they were able to see off a late push from the French champions.

Arsenal 2-0 Paris Saint-Germain

Arsenal registered their first win in the UEFA Champions League 'League Phase' with a 2-0 triumph over Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates Stadium.

PSG were without the services of Ousmane Dembele, who was dropped by manager Luis Enrique for disciplinary issues.

The Gunners broke the deadlock in the 19th minute when Leandro Trossard did well to pick out the run of Kai Havertz, who nodded home from close range.

While PSG struggled to carve out chances, the hosts doubled their lead ten minutes before the halftime break when Bukayo Saka's free-kick evaded everyone and sailed into the back of the net.

Slovan Bratislava 4-0 Manchester City

The Citizens carried that momentum into the second half as Erling Haaland added his name to the score-sheet just before the hour mark to make it 42 goals in 41 Champions League appearances.

The fourth goal arrived in the 74th minute when Foden turned provider to play in  James McAtee, who volleyed the ball home for his first goal for the club.
