Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino has labelled Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos an "idiot" after his recent controversial comments regarding the UEFA Champions League final.
Ramos Reveals He Contacted Salah After UCL Final Injury
Although Los Blancos walked away 3-1 winners in Kyiv last month, there were a number of incidents during the match that stole all the headlines, and Ramos has since been accused of deliberately elbowing goalkeeper Loris Karius in the head before the first goal – an event that is believed to have caused the German to suffer a concussion.
These claims got the Spain international, who is currently in camp with La Furia Roja as they prepare for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, worked up in a recent press conference.
"After, the goalkeeper said that I dazed him with a clash with me. Now, I am only missing Roberto Firmino saying he got a cold because a drop of my sweat landed on him," Ramos said, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
That comment did not sit well with the Selecao star, and he had a brief response.
"I prefer not to make any comments," Firmino said at a news conference at Brazil's pre-World Cup training camp in London.
"I think he has a view because he was the champion, but I thought he was an idiot for what he said, but that is okay."
Egypt Coach Hits Back At Ramos Amid Salah Claim
Ramos has also been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism regarding his tackle on Mohamed Salah, which left the Egyptian with a dislocated shoulder.
