A new FC Barcelona star appears to have taken a swipe at arch-rivals Real Madrid, suggesting that if Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology had been introduced earlier, Los Blancos would not have 13 UEFA Champions League titles.

Chile international Arturo Vidal reckons the Madrid outfit have benefited from some questionable decisions in the past, most notably against the midfielder's former club, Bayern Munich.
In an interview recently, Vidal revealed that winning the Champions League is his No. 1 priority now that he has joined the Blaugrana.
"My favourite title is the Champions League," the Chilean said, as quoted by The Sun.
"I know Barcelona have won it on other occasions but I want to win it now – I want to win it all.
"With VAR, Bayern would have two more Champions Leagues."

The 31-year-old, who was part of the Bayern teams that were beaten by Real in controversial fashion in the latter stages of the previous two editions of the UCL, made 124 appearances for the Bavarians before joining Barca, scoring 22 goals and assisting a further 18 strikes.
