Despite scoring 44 goals for the Reds this season, and breaking multiple records along the way, Salah still finished the campaign without any silverware. The Egyptian becomes the latest name on a long list of superstars who have not lifted the illustrious trophy.
Last year, Gianluigi Buffon came close to winning his first ever UCL title, but he, too, was stopped by Real Madrid, who beat Juventus 4-1 in the 2017 decider.
Another star with multiple accolades, but no Champions League title, is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Sweden striker has lifted 33 titles throughout his career so far, but failed to claim the biggest piece of club silverware in European football.

Similarly, Ibrahimovic's idol Ronaldo Nazario never managed to win the Champions League, despite spending five years with 13-time European Cup winners Los Blancos.
