Real Madrid have reportedly made a strange request relating to new signing Kylian Mbappe after he broke his nose playing for France at the 2024 UEFA European Championship.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winners claimed a 1-0 victory over Austria in their opening EURO 2024 game earlier this week, a match in which their captain broke his nose following a collision with an opponent.
Uncertainty surrounds the rest of the 25-year-old's tournament, with the French Football Federation's president, Philippe Diallo, having recently said it is too soon to say whether or not he will feature again in Germany.
Now, according to French publication L'Equipe, Los Blancos have expressed concern over the issue and have asked the France camp for Mbappe to be operated on sooner rather than later ahead of his presentation in Spain next month.
This comes after the 15-time UEFA Champions League winners announced they had reached an agreement to sign Mbappe on a free transfer before EURO 2024 got underway.
Real reportedly want the ex-Paris Saint-Germain forward to be looking his best when they unveil him at the Santiago Bernabeu in July, and therefore wish for him to have a quicker recovery time.
It is even said the club will postpone his presentation, scheduled for 16 July, should he still have bruises on his face from the inevitable surgery he is due to undergo.
Despite Real's request, though, their doctors are reportedly legally not allowed to take action as Mbappe's deal at Paris Saint-Germain technically only expires at the end of this month.
