Three of the Reds' superstar talents – Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold – are all out of contract at the end of the season, and now the English champions are believed to be scrambling to extend the trio.
Earlier this month, it was reported that all three have already been offered contracts by the Premier League table-toppers, but they are facing stiff competition to keep hold of their most important talents.
Not least with their academy graduate Alexander-Arnold. The 26-year-old has been with the Merseysiders since he was six years old, but seems to be open to leaving his boyhood club, with Cadena SER claiming that Real Madrid are progressing positively in negotiations with the England international.
The 33-capped international is eligible to sign a pre-contract with any team outside of England as soon as 1 January 2025, and the same report claims that Los Merengues are hoping he can hold off on extending so they can offer him a deal to sign when the time comes.
