Born in Madrid to an Angolan mother and a Guinean father, the 1.80-metre tall defender is already being tipped for a bright future.
Although he recently underwent jaw surgery, the transfer was finalised swiftly, with Los Blancos opting not to trigger Fati's release clause, thanks to their strong ties with Leganes.
Fati will initially join Real Madrid C, but a potential move to the youth team could be on the cards, depending on his progress.
