According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 20-time English champions are preparing to launch their first bid for Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund.
This comes after reports suggested United are just days away from announcing the arrival of goalkeeper Onana, who is expected to join the club from the Nerazzurri.
Romano states that Hojlund, 20, has already agreed personal terms with this past season's Carabao Cup winners as he is determined to play for the English giants.
Atalanta are reportedly seeking between €65 million (R1.3 billion) and €70 million (R1.4 million) for the Denmark international's signature.
Hojlund made a name for himself at FC Copenhagen before joining Sturm Graz in 2022, scoring 12 goals in 21 senior appearances for the Austrian club.
The promising left-footed forward then signed for Atalanta in Italy ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, contributing to 14 strikes in 34 matches.
