On Tuesday morning, Australia became one of the latest nations to list their 26-man World Cup squad, one that includes Durban-born midfielder Keanu Baccus.
The 24-year-old played his first minutes for the Socceroos in September in an international friendly against New Zealand, but had represented Australia 11 times at youth level and at the 2021 Olympic Games.
Brother of former Kaizer Chiefs player Kearyn Baccus, Keanu currently plies his trade at St. Mirren in Scotland, where he has already amassed 14 appearances in the 2022/23 season.
