There was some tension at the full-time whistle as Felipe Melo and Kyle Walker had to be separated by their teammates.
Melo also accused Jack Grealish of taunting his Fluminense teammates during the encounter, but the City star has denied those claims.
Marcelo meanwhile, was quick to remind City and Grealish of their achievements at the Club World Cup compared to his record.
"Everyone does what they want. I have my head, I'm not going to say if it's right or wrong," Marcelo told CazéTV.
"In this competition, he has one and I have four cups. I know how difficult it is to win four titles like that. Everyone does what they want.
"The game is played on the field. I don't speak bad or good about those who do this. That's football. You won, you really have to make fun."
