According to Le Parisien, the 28-year-old is edging closer to a move to the Catalan giants ahead of next season.
The French publication has claimed that Blaugrana sporting director Eric Abidal has convinced Griezmann to lower his salary demands and join Barca.
The former Real Sociedad man was close to signing for the Spanish giants last season, but decided to stay at Los Rojiblancos.
Griezmann and Abidal are said to have been in contact since the deal fell through last year, and after a disappointing campaign with Atletico, it is believed the player is now ready to make the move.
The Les Bleus attacker's release clause will reportedly be €100 million (R1.5 billion) from July, and he could sign a four-year deal with the Catalans.
