LaLiga outfit Atletico Madrid took to their official Twitter account last week to reveal that French star Griezmann is set to leave the club at the end of the season, fuelling speculation he could be set for a move to Barca.
Ahead of the Blaugrana's 2-2 draw with Eibar on Sunday, manager Ernesto Valverde briefly discussed his club's potential move for the 28-year-old in a press conference.
"It is correct that contact has been made over this deal, and this is ongoing," he said, according to Football Espana.
"However, the season is not yet over for us and we still have a Copa del Rey final to play.
"We must stay focused on winning both domestic titles. After the final, there will be time for these things.
"At the moment, there is no update and we do not talk about players from other teams."
Valverde's comments come in the wake of former Barcelona presidential candidate Josep Maria Minguella stating that the LaLiga giants have, in fact, already finalised deals for reported targets Griezmann and Ajax Amsterdam captain Matthijs de Ligt.
