Lille and Everton were forced to share the spoils after drawing 0-0 in their Europa League group H clash at the Stade Lille Metropole.
Toffees boss, Roberto Martinez, gave starts to Ross Barkley, Samuel Eto'o and Steven Pienaar, while on-loan Liverpool striker, Divock Origi, started for the Ligue 1 side.
Idrissa Gueye came close to giving the French side the lead in the 25th minute but his powerful strike from the edge of the area sailed just wide of the upright.
Origi came close to breaking the deadlock in the 54th minute, but the Belgian's strike from 18-yards out sailed just wide of the target.
The first meaningful chance of the game arrived in the 64th minute, as Romelu Lukaku teed up Aiden McGeady but the winger's effort was saved by goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama.
Samuel Eto'o had a chance to give the English side the lead in the 88th minute but his curling effort sailed just wide of the Enyeama's left-hand post.
Neither side could break the deadlock in the closing stages of the game and were forced to settle for a point.
Martinez's side remain in top spot in Group H with five points from their opening three games.
