The 25-year-old central defender joins after it was confirmed that his compatriot Wesley Fofana would be missing a considerable part of the season through a knee injury.
The west Londoners are reported to have paid AS Monaco €45 million (R906 million) for his services, while he also becomes the first defensive signing for them this off-season.
Speaking about his arrival in the English capital, the Gonesse native told the club's official website: "It's something Í've been waiting for.
"I am so happy to be here, at this big club. I am really proud to be able to be a part of this great family, and I hope to achieve very big things here. To win titles. I will do everything I can to achieve those objectives. I am very ambitious.
