On Thursday, LaLiga got in touch with Soccer Laduma to tell us all about the exciting plans they have for South Africans wanting to watch the Clasico this coming Sunday afternoon.
In a press release, the world-famous league revealed it would be hosting watch parties for one of the game's biggest club fixtures in Johannesburg and Durban to celebrate their new brand identity. We would strongly urge you to get involved!
"South Africa joined large-scale global LaLiga activations to showcase the all-new brand identity of ElClasico, the most-watched club match in world football, which this weekend will see FC Barcelona and Real Madrid face off in an epic unmissable encounter," a statement from LaLiga read.
"The initiative is part of LaLiga's international development and promotion strategy around ElClasico, the most iconic match in its fixture list.
"ElClasico represents one of the longest-running club rivalries in the history of world football, and these LaLiga activations aim to showcase the match's unmistakable passion and intensity.
"Over 4 500 people – among them Johannesburg's Urban Pantsula and So Dope dance crews – are taking part in over 50 activations unveiling ElClasico's new brand identity and logo reflecting the essence of this iconic football encounter: rivalry, strength, passion, technology, innovation, dynamism, spectacle and global reach.
"Johannesburg's Fourways Mall and locations around the city came to life this week with cryptic, energetic dance performances and audio visual projections revealing the new ElClasico brand identity, as dope dance and pantsula moves formed part of ElClasico's exciting new global reveal.

"LaLiga South Africa will on Sunday host a special ElClasico match viewing experience for 250 guests at the Werehouse on Durban's South Beach, as football fans will gather to watch Barcelona host Real Madrid, kicking off on the big screen at 16:15 SA time."
