On Sunday, Los Blancos will host the Blaugrana at the Santiago Bernabeu in what will be the 244th official meeting between Spain's two most successful clubs. Over the years, a number of the games greatest goalscorers have taken part in the fixture, and one stands head and shoulders above the rest.
In the history of El Clasico, which dates back to the early 1900s, no players has scored more goals in the fixture than current Barca superstar Lionel Messi. The record six-time Ballon d'Or winner has scored 26 times against Real Madrid, which is at least eight goals more than any other player.

That includes long-time rival Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 18 goals against the Catalan giants during his time in Madrid, and who shares second-spot on the all-time goalscorers' list alongside fellow Real legend Alfredo Di Stefano.
The duo are followed by former ex-Real skipper Raul Gonzalez who scored 15 goals in the world-famous encounter, while Cesar, Paco Gento and Ferenc Puskas shared fifth-place with a tally of 14 goals each.
