Motsepe: Africa Waiting For Morocco To Host Most Beautiful AFCON

CAF president Dr Patrice Motsepe has expressed his eagerness to see Morocco put on the "most beautiful" Africa Cup of Nations in history.

After African football's governing body put on a successful continental showpiece in the Ivory Coast, both on and off the pitch, there seems to be a heightened expectation for the tournament's next edition.

The latest iteration of Africa's most prestigious competition had the most goals of any AFCON, and also managed to attract a record number of broadcasters to televise the spectacle as the world bore witness to the host nation winning the competition.

The next AFCON will be held in Morocco in 2025, and with the world waiting to see if they can outdo what the west Africans did, Motsepe believes they have what it takes to make this possible.

"Morocco always surprises us every time with the tremendous development it is experiencing, and the great boom in its structure," the South African executive said at the opening ceremony of the 2024 CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations, as per Kooora.

"The wonderful infrastructure, and the African continent is honoured by that. I am not obsessed or worried about what the situation will be like during this edition, as I see that they will provide us with a wonderful tournament by all standards.
