According to Set Info, Ait Mena is in negotiations to finalise a deal for a foreign player.
The aim is to strengthen the squad before the tournament gets underway in June, while also simultaneously planning for the 2025/26 campaign.
The foreign player has not been named, but the report adds that the player is African and has been making waves on the continent in recent years.
FIFA have allowed teams competing in the Club World Cup to register new players from 1-10 June and and again from 27 June-3 July for the knockout stage of the tournament.
Wydad were linked with Young Africans star duo Stephane Aziz Ki and Clement Mzize in the last two transfer windows.
