Nigeria captain William Troost-Ekong has sent a serious warning to Zimbabwe ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles bagged their first win in the qualifiers at the fifth attempt after defeating Rwanda on Friday night.

Nigeria will now host the winless Warriors in Uyo on Tuesday evening and have told their rivals to forget about getting a result.
"We read somewhere that the Zimbabweans are being motivated to come to Uyo and get a result. They should forget it," Troost-Ekong said, as per All Nigeria Soccer.
"We are hugely motivated by the ambition to play at the FIFA World Cup. Apart from myself, Alex (Iwobi), and perhaps a couple of others, who were part of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, this generation is hungry to play at the highest level.
"We want to make Nigeria proud and at the same time, do ourselves proud."
When the two nations met in the reverse fixture in November 2023, they played to a 1-1 draw in Butare.
